FCC Compliance & Transparency
Our commitment to accurately representing the Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Programs.
At Govtfreeiphone.com, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity. We understand that navigating federal benefit programs can be confusing, and we are dedicated to providing clear, non-misleading information in accordance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines.
Independent Informational Service
This website is a private educational resource. We are NOT the FCC, USAC, or a government agency.
1. Program Oversight
The Lifeline program is a government benefit program supported by the federal Universal Service Fund. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a separate government benefit program (subject to funding availability). Both are administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) with oversight from the FCC.
Govtfreeiphone.com acknowledges strictly that:
- We do not administer these programs.
- We cannot approve or deny applications.
- We do not disburse funds or devices.
2. Truth in Advertising
We are committed to the following principles to prevent consumer deception:
- No False Affiliation: We prominently disclose that we are not a government entity.
- No "Free" Guarantees: We clarify that "free government iPhones" are promotional offers from specific private managed care organizations or wireless carriers, and are subject to availability and eligibility, not a direct government entitlement.
- Clear Requirements: We accurately list the federal eligibility standards (135% poverty line or program participation) without oversimplification.
3. One-Per-Household Rule
We actively educate users on the "One-Per-Household" rule. Detailed within our guides, we explain that eligible households are limited to one Lifeline benefit and one ACP benefit. Violating this rule can lead to de-enrollment and potential prosecution. We do not encourage or facilitate duplicate enrollment.
4. Data Privacy & Robocalls
We respect the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). We do not engage in unsolicited robocalls or text message spam. Any communication from us is initiated solely by the user (e.g., via a contact form) and is strictly limited to answering inquiries.
5. Reporting Fraud
If you suspect that a provider or an entity claiming to be a provider is engaging in waste, fraud, or abuse of the Lifeline program, we encourage you to report it directly to the official channels:
- FCC Consumer Complaint Center: consumercomplaints.fcc.gov
- USAC Whistleblower Hotline: File a Complaint
